Whitmill Hill





Whitmill Hill, was born in Bertie County, N. C., February 12, 1743; graduated from the University of Pennsylvania; prominently connected with the early Revolutionary movements; delegate to the assembly of freemen at Hillsboro in 1775 and the State congress at Halifax in 1776; member of the house of commons of North Carolina in 1777 and of the State senate in 1778-1780, 1784-85; Delegate from North Carolina to the Continental Congress 1778-1781; died at Hills Ferry, N. C., September 12, 1797.
